I guess I missed when #13 would be out? March?
It's bi-monthly this time around, isn't it, so I'd guess Feb (yeah, I missed that, too...)?
Interesting.

But also...wow. Are they trying to turn Emma into some sort of Jean Grey type character? I mean, yeah, she's a telepath, and yes she's with Scott, but then she gets all Phoenixed for a while, and then there's this Wolverine affair.

Oy.

I can't wait!
Ohhh the cover. Newsarma put the images in the right place. Very interesting indeed.

Maybe Jean Grey is Emma. Like Xorn was Magneto but then was his brother or something like that.
I REALLY wish I hadn't seen that cover... I don't suppose a spoiler tag would be too much to ask?
Covers are often misleading. Regardless you would have seen the cover the second you bought the comic anyway. Unless you somehow managed to not look at the cover at all before you read it.
I'm looking forward to the new issues - and the TPB - they're both on request at my local comic shop.

But what's with the description for "Ultimate Spider-Man #93" by Brian Michael Bendis: "It’s the Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Spider-Man versus Ultimate Deadpool and his deadly band of Reavers..."? (emphasis mine) I haven't read Spider-Man for years until some of JMS's recent issues. Where did the Reavers come from?
The only Reavers i'm aware of were the gang of cyborg assassins led by Donald Pierce that featured in several X-Men related storylines. In fact, for a time the X-Men used the Reavers base in the australian outback whilst they were letting the world believe they were dead.

Those Reavers are part of the 616 reality though so i have no idea if they are anything like the group that is appearing in the Ultimate books. Never did get into those Ultimate titles. I like my original Marvel Universe way too much to settle for a bunch of Marvel Superhero wannabes, hehe.
The Astonishing X-Men HC will make a cool collector's item. Too bad the second half of it wasn't as good as the first half.
Re: AXM #14 cover

Oh. My. GOD!

"Covers are often misleading. Regardless you would have seen the cover the second you bought the comic anyway."

Very true, war_machine. Covers ARE often misleading, and I WOULD have seen the cover as I bought the comic. However, I would have read issue 13 beforehand.
