The llamagraphics are HI-larious! Llama-what? Just made it up on fly.
11th R O C K S !
Drifter | January 17, 23:21 CET
The llama is delighted as well, he gave a hum of appreciation.

I just have to say "Two toe pads up - Bovid and Ruminant" is hi-llarious, and "forget to chew your cud", I was cracking up there too. And I see the two L's on Universal's name and llamavision! There should be a notice"No llamas were hurt in the filming".
kurya | January 17, 23:44 CET
And if my printer hadn't died on me, I would have one of these.
Now we just need a full sized Movie Poster with a Llama hidden somewhere.
Maybe the llama jumping up in the air in place of river, with some carrots and hay in his hands.

(and just so there's no confusion, I'd like everyone to know that by posting this I'm not trying to imply my cover is better than 11th Hour's)
The Dark Shape | January 18, 00:51 CET
I'm happy to see people keep posting their covers. There are about 3-4 that I can't choose between, so I won't. I plan to print them all out and rotate them. =)

(And better than the original....)
People at work must be wondering what's cracking me up.

What is the llama-thing? I have no idea what you're talking about, and in roughly 70% of the posts here, you find references to this thing. What's the what here?
Oh, and by the way; "Can't stop the llama" is still hilarious, even if I don't get the reference :P

Well, what with the four-footed woolly mammal obsession, clearly you're looking for partners in the wrong family, genus, and species, gossi mate . . .
SoddingNancyTribe | January 18, 02:23 CET
It started right here with JustNick's post.

It's all good.

Great llaughs though.
Llaughs are good for the soull!
As for the "wooly" thing. I went back and forth on it. The dictionary shows that both spellings are correct, though the double "l" is more common. So I thought it might be funny if a normally double l word was a single l in a field of double and quadruled ls.
It might be too obscure of a joke though... I dunno. Might change it, might not. I was starting to get punchy after a whille... heh...

Gee, thanks for starting the thread off with a diss.
Couldn't you have at least waited to post that little bit 'o sunshine a few messages down?
Have a nice day.

Sheesh. Sensitive, much? If you're trying to be a professional graphic artist, I hope you develope a touger skin.
As for me? It's all of those upturned eyeballs that kind of creeps me out.
I don't think it's bad, though.
AmazonGirl | January 18, 03:39 CET
The upturned eyeballs are a way to connect the characters with the action above. It's a way to bring the composition together.
And, I'm not trying to be a professional graphic artist, I am a professional graphic artist.

Tough one to pull off, but well worth the effort, I feel. Llama and woolly/wooly are both funny words. As is schwarma (per Nicholas Brendon).
SoddingNancyTribe | January 18, 04:08 CET
There are many different styles of fan made alternate DVD covers, so there's something for everyone. It's cool to have a lot to choose from.
I made the cover out of love for Serenity, plus a bit of angst over the design over the official cover. But mainly done for love, for free, and it's a gift to any of the fans who want to use it.

Obscureness, our name be Whedonesque! heh... Okay, I'llll lleave the singullar l wooly allone for now... thanks.
Heh, schwarma... Can't rightly think of anyone who loves the word play better than our Mr. W.
Also, noticed in my quoted post that I spelled quadrupuled wrong... oooops...
Btw, I LURVE your username!

Feel free to criticize my cover at every turn.
(I do very much like you back cover design, however.)
The Dark Shape | January 18, 08:30 CET
I probably also need to work on that "sometimes the best response is to say nothing" thing... but then my "Mal" voice gets the better of me. Kinda like having to start a fight in a bar on Unification Day, when it would have been smarter just to sit and have my drink.
It's okay. At least no one got punched in the face.
