(SPOILER) A certain member of the BtVS cast may not participate in a spinoff.

D.B. Woodside, who plays Principal Robin Wood, "has joined CBS' untitled Danny Glover drama pilot."

Is anybody really surprised by this? He plays a SHS principal! He's going to be eaten, one way or another, by the end of the season!
"From beneath you it devours."

Does being swallowed by the Hellmouth count as eaten? 'Cuz that's where I'm placing my money.
Ah well, there go my dreams of a Principal Wood/Jonathan buddy comedy spinoff. It just further clears the way for a solo Jonathan spinoff. History will validate me on this.
Woodside needs to make a name for himself anyway. He'd just be 2nd fiddle on a spinoff from Buffy.
He may just be covering his bases. There's rumors that Eliza Dushku's got a pilot in the works. This doesn't guarantee she's dissed any notion of a Faith spinoff. It's just that everything's so up in the air about the future of Buffy & Angel, that any actor involved needs to think concretely about the future, and have something in line to fall back on.
I'd have to agree with ZachsMind here. A friend of mine pointed out that Scott Bakula was signed up with Paramount for a comedic pilot before he took the Captain Archer role on Enterprise (also a Paramount production).
Here's to hoping Dushku's involved in the spinoff Whedon might have in 2004...
From a sports fan, take it from me, contracts are made to be broken. I'm lovin' finally having some color on the Hellmouth, and I'm in no hurry for it to end. I'd love to have him in a spinoff, because there's plenty of unexplored area for us to go with him.
