Daniel Dae Kim wins an Asian Excellence Award. The former Angel actor won 'Outstanding Male TV Performance' for his portrayal of Jin in Lost.

Neat, but no offense to the guy-- he didn't have much competition since this is fairly US based. I'm not sure if it's more to his acting ability that everyone else is wiped from memory or just because it's a limited field, but it seems like he's the most prolific male Asian actor in Hollywood...
I think he's done a fine job of bringing us a complex character with layers -- even more challenging due to the language thing. And it's fun to see him doing something besides getting kicked around by Lilah!
He does a great job making his character come through. I think sometimes you don't even have to read the subtitles to know what Jin is saying because Daniel is so good at expressing his feelings. I definitely think that Mr. Kim's outstanding enough that he should be nominated for acting awards in categories of all actors, not just Asian actors!

I agree that it is too bad there aren't more people "eligible" for this award because there are so few Asian actors in American TV. We're too stuck on "all-American" looks here. :-(
He is one of the few actors that can act just by using facial expressions. He speaks few lines yet you always know what his character is trying to say. Some actors have the ability to act just by a look. Regardless of race, he is a fine actor IMO.
Plus, whenever he appears on "Lost", there is the possibility of a shirtless scene! Gratuitous or no, I always look forward to seeing Daniel sans shirt. Oh, he is a groovy actor, too.
I'm glad, because he's come to be my favourite person of all the other castaways.
