'Conviction' starring J. August Richards to premiere March 3rd at 10pm ET on NBC. 'Las Vegas' will be its lead-in.

I saw an ad for this the other day and it also stars Eric Balfour (Jesse on BtVS) as far as I can tell.
Well, Dick Wolf does seem to be the Teflon King of LA, so high hopes here for JAR.
I always cringe at a Friday slot, but they're moving Las Vegas to Friday too as a lead in, and I thought that show had been doing well (?), but may not be a good match with Convicted. ABC has been enjoying some success with their Friday primetime lineup--but with light comedy that's pretty PG. NBC is going counter-programming, OR are they not too jazzed about Las Vegas or Convicted? Hmmm.
In my fantasy script of this show here is the dialogue I would love to hear between J. August Richard (Gunn) and Eric Balfour (Jesse).

Jesse: So where did you intern?
Gunn: In LA at Wolfram and Hart.
Jesse: Ah, I know that firm. They were going to sponsor me through law school but then a friend of mine put an end to that, so I just came straignt back to NY as an A.D.A.
Gunn: Yeah W&H can do things like that. They helped me get medical treatment when I was bleeding to death in an alley.
Jesse: So should we let this drug dealing defendant get off easy?
Gunn: Yeah count me in. We owe the Senior Partners at little something. Gotta love being alive and well in NYC.
Jesse: Amen to that. Now let me see that evidence. Oh, whoops, lost it down the sewer. My bad”.
Yay! I'm glad JAR got a series. I will check it out at least. Although unfortunatel, I am not a lawyer show, or crime show kind of person. But I'll give it a try for JAR.

Hee hee Angel fan!
That is great, angel fan. Pretty funny.

I'll check this out. I so miss JAR. So glad he's on a new show, I hope it lasts (if it's good that is). Law and Order is just not my thing. I just hope this is a little more interesting.
We are always saying the some Whedon alumnus/alumna or another is the nicest person around but I think that JAR really is. He's genuine and interested in others, and really friendly. I am so glad to see he's working.
I like it, Angel fan!

I've had thoughts like that although mine usually involve memory altering....
