Hmm, I'm trying to visualize the interaction of the rather formalistic idea of four characters that represent "emotional cornerstones," (and SMG as sorrow? Interesting that the one mournful element is played by the sole woman . . . although I suppose Love is not unalloyed good either) with the nature of the film as a "crime-drama." And picturing something like Kieslowski's Three Colours blended with a french policier. Though that's too eurocentric a perspective, certainly. Sounds most intriguing anyway. And I like the cast a lot.
