"Joss doesn't really know anything about that guy". Joss' spokesman speaks to Sci Fi Wire about the person behind FireflySeason2.com.

that's nice but the real question in my mind is .... how the heck is Desperate Housewives even remotely concidered sci-fi/fantasy programing?????????????????

Sorry if that is a bit OT but when I saw that on the page I went wtf, however Lost is not even listed. Bizzare.

[ edited by RavenU on 2006-01-27 20:43 ]
Notice also that Sci Fi Wire yet again wrongly spins what Joss has been saying to outlets such as USA Today -- turning it from "any new incarnation would be different from previous incarnations" into something that will sound to people like "it won't be on TV, ever, in any form, period."

Oops.
I noticed the USA Today consistant error, how annoying! I also think its kinda odd that Joss now has a spokesperson, especially one who announces "I don't really think he has a comment" Just seems odd to me! Almost as odd as the Season Two website itself.
I don't find the spokesman thing odd. At this point, Joss is busy working on other projects -- he's not going to stop what he's doing to answer every Firefly issue that comes up.
I also think its kinda odd that Joss now has a spokesperson

Nothing strange about that. It's an official response from the spokesperson for the Whedon camp.
RavenU, I assume that it is there as the Fantasy part of SF&F.
I was surprised at the spokesman too, since I figured that when ME was shut down, he lost things like spokesmen.
Good to get slightly more official word on this.
I know nothing about the Whedonverse from the inside. I'm a fairly new fan (2 years). But I do think that if Joss had a spokesperson, he would have let the fandom know about it.

And, this goes back to my "icky" post... I'm being icky now, aren't I? Trying to interpret Joss's actions or inactions. So not my place. OK, firmly resolved to stick to the text now. *resolve face*
First Ask Ausiello, now this. This story is getting well-known outside of the Browncoats boards! It's too bad that there weren't any comments from Fox TV, and that Joss doesn't know anything about him. We still can't tell exactly if this is an effort that is being taken seriously by TPTB or not.

ETA: My guess is that "spokesman" is just what they're calling the person they heard from. It might be an assistant or whatever. I don't think it has to be a professional "spokesman" (like Scott McClelland, or like CJ!).

[ edited by billz on 2006-01-27 21:26 ]
I'll put $20.00 on the spokesperson being the ever so charming Mike Boretz, Joss' longtime assistant, who probably answered a phone/email inquiry about the Ace thing.

Takers?
Not sure about the surprised reaction to JW having a "spokesman". I take it he is signed to an agency (one of the so-called "big four" I would assume) and has to deal with numerous business matters that require the involvement of other people acting on his behalf, as is the norm in the film business.
Allyson, I was adding to my post as you posted. Yes, I agree with you! Although dashboardprophet's idea makes sense, too, I'll bet Mr. Boretz handled this. :-)
No suprise on the spokesman part, every creative type in Hollywood has an agent and/or a manager and someone with Joss's talent and history would have rep's with staff to deal with this stuff.
(Dashboardprophet beat me to it!)

I think this kind of financial model, original programming premiered direct on DVD, could work and be a hit, but if it were me I want to create the show from scratch. While having an established fanbase would help launch any show having to pay uber-bucks to Fox and/or Joss would be a very big dent in the finances.

And if Fox thought it world work they'd do it themselves. Why would they need this guy?

[ edited by zz9 on 2006-01-27 21:31 ]
Ok ok, but his response was a bit odd, oh never mind!
conceded, dashboardprophet. You are probably right. What do I know?
Why is everyone so surprised about the spokesperson thing? I think it´s a normal thing that happens when people are really busy. I imagine he is probably buried in the Wonder Woman script right now.

Oh and I think Allyson is right.
I guess I always just assumed Joss had a spokesperson. I kind of liked the response, that the whole thing is so out there that Joss and his spokesperson haven't even thought of discussing it. (Hence the "I don't think...")

Also, cronopio, great name. I think the Whedonverse is a great place for all cronopios.
Biff turkle,, you know what a cronopio is? I heart you!
I like the spokesperson thing... it makes him sound like a VIP. It's also saves Joss from having to be cold to this Ace fellow, who I'm sure is a big fan.
Notice also that Sci Fi Wire yet again wrongly spins what Joss has been saying to outlets such as USA Today ...

Maybe Sci Fi Wire should hire one of us as a consultant, so anytime they do a Whedon-related story they'll have someone to turn to who is familiar with all the nuances. ;)
"A spokesman for Whedonesque said..." ;-)
Geez, billz, it's "spokesperson"! Welcome to the 21st century! ;-)
I had no idea what a cronopio was. To be honest, I thought the name must either be something personal, or a deeply-coded Whedon reference. Still could be the former, but it's not the latter. Not that I can discern anyway. But a great name, regardless. And the sum of my knowledge has increased. Yay.
Um, SNT? It is the latter. A Cortazar reference. Which is way OT here, so I'll shut up.
I think it's cool. And I love the literary history behind it. Kudos on choosing it. I went with my user name cause it's my actual name. Which is a bit crap really.
I'm actually teaching a seminar on Cortázar this semester, so I've been thinking about cronopios a lot. And I've promised the class some clips from Buffy or Angel, as soon as I can figure out how they illustrate some concept that appears in one of the stories we study.
Hey now, Simon. I too went with my real name as my user name - mostly because I'm lazy - but that doesn't mean it's crap (nor is yours for that matter).

[ edited by Eden on 2006-01-27 23:06 ]
Biff Turkle, I would love to talk about you re this, but this clearly isn't the place...*scurries off to check rules about sharing emails*
Love it. The name Cronopio, that is. And Cortázar is one of my favorite Latin American authors. Thanks for the link, SNT.
As for the spokesperson, as a few others have mentioned that can refer to *anyone* who speaks for someone else. As a journalist, I use it as a catch-all term all the time when I need to define who someone is or why i'm quoting them. And especially for something like this, that's so out there and isn't really worth Joss giving it his attention, i would have been surprised if he'd addressed it himself.

I like the spokesperson thing... it makes him sound like a VIP.

Joss is a VIP :-)
Joss has a spokesman? Gotta be one easy job. As far as I've noticed, Joss is pretty good at speaking for himself. Yeah, that's the real news here, not that FireflySeason2 and Joss are unconnected, that was pretty much a gimme. No, the big news is "Joss has a spokesman". Wow! I'm baffled...
The mere fact this guy isn't soliciting funds tells me that his attentions are probably legit, though far fetched. Is he trying to make money? Yes but so does a TV network. Though I would love to see a new series, I wouldn't necessarily want it in the mediums that he is suggesting. My vote is still for a TV movie or TV miniseries.
Underhill admitted that his effort is a long shot: He even revealed that a bookmaker had contacted him to gauge the odds of his success for purposes of wagering.

A bookie contacted this guy?
WTF? No. Wait...WTFF??
So...was it "Ace's" PERSONAL bookie?
Sheesh.
Shouldn't we all pretty much be of a mind that if there was any news...any news...that we'd hear it from Joss?
Me? I'm thinkin' Yes.
We all know by now that Joss adores the Firefly/Serenity 'verse and has said that he'd love to tell more stories.
Don't we think that if the possibility for that happening came along, that we'd get a wave from Joss himself saying "Hey, peeps! Guess what?!"
Until we do...I think we should step back when someone throws up a link or site asking for personal info, petitions being signed...or asking for money.
That having been said:
What I want to know is when people--Browncoats--will take a page out of the Star Trek fandom and start producing fan-made films?

[ edited by AmazonGirl on 2006-01-27 23:30 ]
I'm actually quite pleased that it has been made clear that the Browncoats are not just embracing this idea uncritically. Makes us look a little less rabid.
Mike Boretz? Can't believe I haven't noticed his name before....I was pretty friendly with a guy in school named Mike Boretz. Could it be the same guy? Probably not (he wasn't a big entertainment geek or anything), but I did grow up in L.A.....

[ edited by bobster on 2006-01-27 23:33 ]
DarenG - I'd go along with you, but would label this new guy as "maybe legit". But wouldn't it make more sense to negotiate the rights and THEN announce that you want to do it? Us Browncoats are gonna' want to see whatever Joss is willing to go along with. To announce the plans and then try to negotiate is a very, very silly business model.

That's my two pence, your millage may vary.
Alas, not everyone checks Whedonesque. I have had several folks on another blog all with the squee and the s2 love.

Internet is dangerous. And while I would never dare to speak for Joss, I do wish he would issue some kind of statement.
Djungelurban | January 27, 23:21 CET

Baffled??
Joss Whedon has an agent. Probably a couple of them. Might also have a manager, too. He surely has an attorney, or attorneys. Probably has one or two assistants as well.
These are the people who he would give permission to speak for him on occasion.
Hence the term "spokesman" "spokeswoman" "spokesperson".
He also has been paid a considerable sum by Universal to be concentrating on and writing what will be a Big Movie: Wonder Woman.
Not Serenity. Not Firefly.
Why, oh why are you "baffled" that there would be a "spokesman" or someone answering for Joss?
I'd be surprised if he didn't!
: )

"Oh my word." I'll be watching BSG season two reruns while you guys sort this out.
Hey now, Simon. I too went with my real name as my user name - mostly because I'm lazy - but that doesn't mean it's crap (nor is yours for that matter).

Eden I mean no disrespect to anyone uses their real name. Sometimes I wish I had gone with Max Power Zenith (I'm a huge Grant Morrison fan).
AmazonGirl could you try write paragraphs and not hit 'enter' after every sentence, please, as it makes for rather staccato reading.
In fact, zeitgeist and I break the admin/mod pattern by not using our real names. I've thought a few times of changing from the undersigned to either Luke (for such it is), or possibly Incredible Boy! (not very hidden movie ref).

And, yeah, Joss has an attorney, no doubt. But he'll be getting a new one in a few years' time, you mark my words. ;)
Hey, Ariane, I'm full-on 21st century! ;-) I used "spokesMAN" because I'm quoting directly from the SciFiWire article. I would normally go for "-person," or maybe remove the "-gender" completely (like "chair of the committee" instead of "chairman/woman/person"). It all depends on where you are and who you're quoting, right? :-)
Joss Whedon has an agent. Probably a couple of them. Might also have a manager, too. He surely has an attorney, or attorneys. Probably has one or two assistants as well.

Cool! Joss Whedon has an Entourage.
The only thing missing is a muse. I wish to offer my services.

On a more serious (and realistic) note, it must be bloody annoying when you constantly have to deny rumours or defuse attempts for attention by people who have nothing to do with you or your work. I bet there are times where Joss wishes he could stop the signal.

the ever so charming Mike Boretz, Joss' longtime assistant

Allyson - please kindly provide photographic evidence ;)
I personally think that Joss's spokesperson should have a spokesperson. He should be that big.
Joss shouldn't have a spokesperson. Makes him seem out of reach.
Simon, if you fancy a change then why not go for it? You could be "Zenith (formerly known as Simon)" for a while, just to avoid confusion! :D

Me, i went with one of my all time favourite lines from Angel ... mainly because Rob is nowhere near as cool!
This has also been reported on the Digital Spy website.
Joss shouldn't have a spokesperson. Makes him seem out of reach.

Yes, it's clearly not enough that he posts to boards, goes to cons, etc. He shouldn't be allowed to have assistants either. He should personally deal with each and every thing that comes up.

FYI, Sci Fi has now changed the bit about what Joss has and has not ACTUALLY said about where he would or would not do future thigns with this property. It now says this:

Whedon previously told USA Today that he still hopes to tell more stories set in Serenity's futuristic universe, though Firefly as it was is dead. He later told Empire Online that he remains open to doing another TV series.
I've thought a few times of changing from the undersigned to either Luke (for such it is), or possibly Incredible Boy! (not very hidden movie ref).

SNT, you can't change your user name. It is, hands down, my favorite one on this board. With barest_smidgen, phlebotinin, and m'cookies not far behind. I always wished I'd thought of a witty, obscure-but-not-too-obscure, whedonverse or other fictional reference for my ID. But I went the unimaginative route and used my initials. And now I'm attached. Oh well...
I may be am biased, but those are my two favorite usernames as well ;D
Theonetruebix, i actually read that as meaning that he was open to doing another television series generally, rather than another Firefly series.
He had at one point clarified that he was open to a Firefly-verse show, but not with all and potentially not with any of our BDHs.
Oh, gosh. *blush* I was scrolling down to flail my arms, wail, and demand that SNT not change his name, as it is my all-time favorite on the black. I simply won't hear of it. I was even prepared to tear at my hair should it prove persuasive. And then I was planning to recount how I had become all dorky and pleased with myself when SNT responded to one of my very first posts here by saying that he dug my user name. It was like being picked first for kickball by the cool captain a grade-level ahead.

And then acp beats me to it, and includes me and my silly little name in the same breath as SNT and the others? *blushes more, preens* It's an honor just to be nominated...
Zeitgeist, that was what i was (rather poorly) trying to say in that previous post. It's getting late here and i'm tired, okay! :)
Well I look forward to the continuation of the Serenity 'Verse (Firefly franchise being long dead). Hopefully Universal will greenlight a TV movie in the next couple of years.
Clearly, Joss can speak for himself (and does so often on this very site), but I think it's great for him to have a "spokesman" of some capacity so he can say "no comment" to something like this, and not have to validate or invalidate it. Him not getting involved in this seems like the best thing to do.

Also, Joss said here that he would do more in the verse "Whatever format it is" and mentioned TV in the same breath. That was 2 months ago and he spoke about as clearly as he could.
I think Ace Underhill should also have a spokesperson then his people could contact Joss's people and they could all do lunch. Isn't that how business is conducted in Hollywood ?

Damn, you mean SoddingNancyTribe isn't your real name ? Thought that was too good to be true ;). I also went with my initials but, and here's where the creative genius comes in, backwards. Yes, my imagination stands astride us all like some kind of colossus. Don't make a fuss, its head will only get bigger.
Props to Sci Fi Wire for updating their article to be more clear. Wait, a news service trying for truthiness? It's as amazing as Oprah outing James Frey as a big fat liar fiction writer on her show yesterday! :-)

ETA: Do I lose all street cred if I admit that "Billz" started as my grandmother's nickname for me, then stuck, then I changed the "sy" to a "z" to make it seem like it was kewl all along? *acts very manly & kewl*

Saje -- your post made me laugh so hard water almost came out of my nose. Ew.
FYI, from now on I am calling SNT, "Luke, the Incredible Boy."

Also known as LIB.

So it is written, so it shall be.
Props to you, Billz for use of 'truthiness'--ah the genius of Stephen Colbert. Also I stand in awe/awww of some of the nicknames on this board--'barest_smidgen' and 'SoddingNancyTribe' being two of my favourites.

Oh, and I am also in favour of Joss having a spokesperson.

This Underhill guy sounds like one of the many people I'd have to find polite ways to ignore when I worked in Hollywood type offices.

Person: "I've got an idea for a sequel to a hit movie, containing a major star! I need to talk to the producer of The Terminator right away."

Me: "What's the movie?"

Person: "I can't tell you. I don't want to give it away."

Me: "Okay. Ahh, so, do you have a script that you wrote for this film, or..?"

Person: "No. I just have really great idea."

Me: "So... has this major star agreed to do the sequel with you?"

Person: "Well, I sent several letters to their house, and I'm expecting to hear from them soon."

Me: "Oh..."
Since we're on the topic of names I thought I'd try and be helpful and point the new people to this thread on the Flickr where lots of people explain the genesis of their usernames.
Okay, first thing Monday I'm legaly changing my name to ZZ9. How cool is THAT!

I'd better start practising my signature now...

Celluloid Novelist, there was someone on the IMDB boards ("Sanity Free for 482 days and counting!") who sounded like a cross between that and this Ace guy. They wanted to buy the rights for Willow off Fox and write, direct and produce a spinoff and, and this is the fantastic part, "Hire" Joss to do some of the writing for him.
zz9...do you mean Willow the character, or Willow the movie. Not that it matters, but it would ease my mind. Maybe.
Possibly a pic of the mysterious Ace Underhill you'll find him about a quarter of the way down the page.
He drives a Delorean?! And Aberforthsgoat, Willow the character. This was just after BtVS ended and he wanted to make a spin off. He sounded serious, maybe this Ace is the same guy who's moved on to Firefly?
And it's not even the gold plated DeLorean. Serenity deserves gold plating, not a license plate bought off the street for twenty bucks.
He drives a Delorean?!

Not only does he drive a De Lorean -- in an apparent cross-pollination of his business interests, he ships them to Costa Rica. (Scroll down a bit.)
He looks just as I imagined him...Actually, I think the name "Ace Underhill" is oddly appopriate. "Underhill" is a reference to Tolkien, of course. And, "Ace" has such associations as Ace Freely of KISS...The amazing "Stroker Ace" starring Burt Reynolds and Lonnie Anderson...and the lady who, in my youth, ended my abortive career in less-than-honest telemarketing (toner scam!) by declaring "Nice try, Ace!"

As to my own handle. I did not choose "Bobster" because, in fact, my name is "Bob", but as an act of protest that Joss has, so far, never named a major (or minor?) character "Bob"or "Jim" or "Steve" or "Dave" or "Jennifer" or "Nancy". I mean the world wasn't built on Rivers and Willows and Anyas and Ruperts and Xanders...it was built by Susans and Stephanies and Marks and Allans and Randys, by gum!

I mean even Andrew and Jonathan are slightly hoidy toidy. What's wrong with Andy and Jon, for Chrissakes? Of course, there was Ben, but I hesitate to mention him. This thread is way long enough.

[ edited by bobster on 2006-01-28 11:30 ]
Joss has, so far, never named a major (or minor?) character "Bob"or "Jim" or "Steve" or "Dave" or "Jennifer" or "Nancy".

Actually there were two minor charcters named Nancy in Buffy.

1. In the Wishverse she was a white hat. (I think she was also a Slayer-in-training, hence why she was working for Giles. As Buffy was in Clevland with her Watcher... Just a theory)

2. Nancy in season seven as Xander's potential rebound Girlfriend. (Her dog got eaten by a big earthworm that was her ex-boyfriend.)
Two Nancys? Is that enough to make a Tribe? ;-)
Only if they have smiling faces.
My theory about the two Nancies is that they were supposed to be the same character in two different universes, but the actress wasn't available. They certainly did pick an actress similar in appearance. I have nothing whatsoever to back this up.
@ Bobster - surely you jest … There’s heaps of Bobs in Buffy!!

• Prinicpal Flutie was a Bob “the kids can call me Bob … but they don’t”;
• The Chief at the end of School Hard– he who asks “You want the usual story? Gang-related? PCP?” is addressed as Bob by Snyder;
• there’s Jungle Bob in Homecoming and Cordelia tries to get a Bobby to vote for her;
• Bob is one of Jack’s boys raised in The Zeppo.

Also in Angel; a Bobby gets killed in War Zone and Bob the security guard gets decapitated in The Shroud of Ramon. Then there’s also the unfortunate Dave in ‘I robot you Jane’ and Connor was Steven for a while.

Thanks to the buffyverse database for the chance to confirm my recollections re Principal Flutie and Dave and to (re)discvover the others.

He also has been paid a considerable sum by Universal to be concentrating on and writing what will be a Big Movie: Wonder Woman.

He really hasn't been paid a considerable sum by Universal for Wonder Woman, AmazonGirl. Different studio.

MovieHole.net is also covering this story. It's taken on a life of it's own, I swear.
I'll be honest here. I really wish that Joss hadn't been offered Wonder Woman in the first place. I'm glad for him in the sense that it has the potential to give him some serious profile but i just can't get excited about the movie itself.

I've admitted before that i was a little less than enthusiastic about the movie in the first place, not caring for the character in question, but now that the Spike project is a strong possibility i wish really wish Joss wasn't connected to the WW movie at all so that he was a little more available for the characters i want to see. If a Firefly/Serenity project was to be put on the table too then i'd definately want to see that go ahead, no matter what that meant to Wonder Woman. Kinda selfish i know but the Wonder Woman movie will go ahead regardless of whether or not Joss is involved whereas he is an integral part of anything Spike or Firefly related.

Mind you, i would probably feel differently if we were talking a Marvel Comics property. With all the characters that they are putting forward for the movie treatment these days i'm sure Joss would do wonders with anything he was offered (pardon the pun). I've said it before and i'll say it again ... Joss Whedon, writer and director of She Hulk. Now that i would be looking forward too! :p

but, Simon, didn't we just establish the literary _and_ historical merits of your name? *g*

We did indeed :).
Purplehazel --

Well, I wouldn't say any of those were exactly major characters, but yet I still hang my head in shame.
The conversation has really blown up now. Ace just made Cinematical.
This all just seems so odd to me. I'm not quite sure what to believe.

Of course Joss has a spokesperson. He's a big wig in Hollywood! They have peeps.

I was so lame when I thought up Harmalicious. I hadn't seen Harmony in season 5 of Angel yet when I picked my username, and I think I would have chosen something else if I had. Not that I didn't like her in season 5, but she became fairly evil at the end. I always thought she "sucked at being evil". That's why I loved her so much, just so cute. SNT - you better not change your name, Pure genius.
Harmalicious, I don't think your name is lame. It's funny and cute like Harmony herself. As matter of fact, I like everyone's name here. Some I don't really get, but I chalk that up to me being American and this being a European board.

I think screen names are like license plates, except that we are not limited to a finite number of letters ("number of letters"...hmmm...). I do enjoy seeing the creativity and personalization of everyone's 'handle'. It's part of the internet funnage.

Hey! Where is Zach'sMind lately? Anyone know?
Thanks, Willowy. That particular day I loved Harmony...who knows why? OK, yes she's adorable, and I like to think at times I'm pretty darn cute too. Oh, and I also suck at being evil.

Yes, where IS Zach's Mind???? I used to love reading his very long and thoughtful posts. We have Razor and theonetruebix for that :) gossi too. You guys are always such a treat when you get all passionate about stuff.
Yes, I've been wondering where Zach'sMind has been for ages. He's been gone almost a year, hasn't he? I hope he's ok.
It's funny how far this Firefly Season 2 website thing has gone. I don't neccesairly think this guy was trying to scam anyone, more likely he is just in over his head here. Considering that no one official has really commented on it, I'm suprised so many big sites are picking up on it.

I picked the name Rabid because about the time I started to post online (well started posting again after I left the online community around the time Buffy Season 6 started airing,) Angel was officially cancelled. On a radio feed that was linked to The WB message-board, we fans were referred to as "rabid Angel fans", and I took on the name Rabidangelfan. That was reduced to Rabid when I signed up here, and has since become my new online name for everything from my email account to my X-Box Live name.
Harmalicious, i have to agree with Willowy, i love your name on here! ;)

I'd noticed the lack of ZachsMind around here as well. I used to enjoy reading his posts back when i was just a lurker at Whedonesque and it's been quite a while since i've seen him offer an opinion on anything.

Maybe he has just moved on from all things Whedon, i hear people do do that. Not totally sure how it is possible but still. :)

EDIT: Because it appears i temporarily forgot the difference between "hear" and "here".

[ edited by Vampire With A Gun on 2006-01-29 16:06 ]
Somewhat off topic, but in answer to a few mentions made here, ZachsMind is still updating his own website and his take on life, the universe and everything continues to be interesting and always worth reading. So, I can at least report that he is alive and well.
I had been wondering why my ears were burning.

"..but I chalk that up to me being American and this being a European board."

This is a European board? I knew I shoulda taken that left turn at Alberquerque.

I was in Net Radio for a brief while, and regularly made a point to play Buffy related music when I could and talk about Whedon things when I could, but the audience I had at the time had mixed reactions to that. So I haven't exactly steered away from all things Whedon, but I'm tired of repeating the same old mantras over and over. I'm a broken record. Have you not heard all this before?

1. RIPPER THE BBC MINISERIES!

2. BUFFY THE ANIMATED SERIES!

3. SPIKE THE ??? SERIES!

4. OZ THE ??? SERIES!

5. MORE SERENITY MOVIES!

6. SEASON TWO OF FIREFLY! (dvd direct if necessary, 'verse knows there's a market!)

7. JOSS WHEDON TO ADMIT DEFINITIVELY THAT BOOK WAS AN ALLIANCE OPERATIVE BEFORE THE WAR, AND TURNED TO SPIRITUALITY TO ATONE FOR ALL THE EVIL HE HAD BOURNE. (we get all the girl fans in the world feathers and waffle syrup, see. then we strip Joss down and tie him to a gurney, and we wheel him past the girls...) Bonus points if we get him to admit that Book & Niska were once college roomies or something.

8. MORE OF SUMMER'S FEET! ******** "SUMMER!!!" ********

9. THE ENTIRE SET OF SERENITY REBUILT AND KEPT AT THE SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTE NEXT DOOR TO THE STAR TREK SET FOR GENERATIONS OF VISITORS TO COMPARE AND CONTRAST (ours is better!)

10. COMEDY STARRING BRENDON, CAULFIELD, TRACHTENBERG, AND STRONG WRITTEN BY JANE ESPENSON, PRODUCED BY DAVID FURY AND DIRECTED BY AMBER BENSON, HAVING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WHEDONVERSE.

11. WILLOW AND KENNEDY SOFT PORN! (actually not sure if the world is ready for that one)

12. AN APPEARANCE ON SESAME STREET BY DAVID BOREANAZ AND HIS PUPPET LIKENESS TEACHING KIDS HOW TO COUNT!

13. AMBER BENSON RECORDING CONTRACT!

I'm a broken record. I tired of repeating myself so I just stopped doing it for a year. Saying what I wanted over and over wasn't making it happen so I quit rambling about it. At least in here. At least in most anywhere.

Personally I don't want Buffy back. That ship has sailed. Her tale has been told. The girl died three times and saved the world a few hundred times. Give her a break. The rest of the worlds Joss has created though, there's still a wealth of material there.

Wonder Woman? ...eh. I'll watch it. Will probably enjoy it. However, it's unequivocably a waste of Whedon's fine talent. He already told that story. Buffy IS Wonder Woman. So's River. Why make him retell William Moulton Marston's tale when Whedon's completely capable of inventing his own? By the way, Martson was also the guy who figured out the systolic blood pressure test, which is the precursor to the lie detector. Fly paper of the mind.
... and now i want a million dollars ...

Damn! Ah well, didn't work for Willow in Triangle either! :)

Nice to see you posting again, ZachsMind. Couldn't agree more on what you said, particularly the Wonder Woman comment.
Broken record? Hey, after a point, we're all spinning away with the same old stuff. But, ZM, you tend to say that stuff with a little more pizzazz and style than most. And there are always nuances and, um, angles and so on, even on the oldest of topics.

And we don't know your opinion of Goners yet. So that's something to look forward to. Anyway, I also enjoy seeing your name here.
12. AN APPEARANCE ON SESAME STREET BY DAVID BOREANAZ AND HIS PUPPET LIKENESS TEACHING KIDS HOW TO COUNT!

"One, bwah hah hah. Two, bwah hah hah. Three, bwah hah hah." ;-)
It should be the vamped puppet then afterwards he and the Count can swap stories. Yes. I like it! And with Joss' father's former connection with the Electric Company, I'm sure it could happen!
