Firefly/Serenity Timeline. Since we're in reference information mode today. Very detailed.

I've seen this before, but it's very shiny!
The Firefly Timeline has been linked to already but that was well before the comic book mini-series and the movie. The updated version is well worth reading as well.
I'm glad that this thread has been left up as i don't recall seeing the previous one here at Whedonesque and this timeline is a fantastic resource that i hadn't been aware of before.

Great work! :)
That is a labor of love in the best sense. How could you not love a timeline that includes the date of release of the "White Album" because of the reference to Cry Baby Cry in the episode "Serenity"? Wonderful stuff.
It is amazing isn't it?

[sorry for the double post, but thankyou for leaving it up]
It doesn't take into account one line of dialogue in the movie: "Eight months! Eight months you had her on my boat knowing full well..."

I mean, it does... but it disregards it because it doesn't match up with their timeline.

Yeah, well, that's because it doesn't work. Heh.
Oh, I know it doesn't work. I came out of the screening thinking that didn't work at all. But considering Mal said it -- and in a line cut form the movie, The Operative said it as well -- I think that's what Joss intended, for whatever reason.
Wow, is that ever complete. Very shiny, not to mention impressive!

Dare I speculate that the reason is Joss having the same precise feeling for time as Mal "you said they would hold another week" Reynolds? Some people are simply timeless, anything that didn't happen last week might have been somewhere 2-4 weeks ago (ie. I couldn't quite tell without trying to remember real hard). Though it DOES tell us that they didn't keep a timeline when they wrote the show or didn't bother to include every mention of time or date.
Some real problems in there with basing birth years on the actor's age, rather than the character's. Simon eleven years older than River? Flashbacks in Safe tend to disagree.

Other than that, an interesting read with all my big damn heroes back together again. Shiny.
