(SPOILER) Sneak peak at tomorrow's release of Astonishing X-Men #13. Three interior pages of Cassaday art and Whedon dialogue for your perusal. Marvel are also releasing Marvel Spotlight: Joss Whedon tomorrow. It's an interview with Joss about the X-men and includes "bonus behind the scenes material".

Worked for me Chirp tho' their server is pretty slow to respond (plus I only went as far as the covers to avoid spoilery dialogue so it may choke and die after that point).
Yeah it is very hit or miss at the minute but they will come up eventually.

I did like . That was kinda cool.
It's about time they explained some of the odd storylines from the past few years. I'm glad Joss is doing it and not someone else ;)
Will the Joss interview also be online or just in the Magazine?
holymother I was hoping there would be a preview of the Joss interview online (there was one for the Marvel Spotlight on John Cassaday) but nothing has turned up as of yet.
Definitely getting more intrigued by this.

Yeah, I haven't seen the Joss spotlight interview online yet either when I checked.

Soon, hopefully.
Thanks Simon, I wasn't sure how these things work.
When I click the link I mostly get nothing, but when I'm lucky it tells me I need to log in. :/

Edited to say, Thank you delirum.

Will both of these be availible in the UK on Wednesday 22nd or do we have to wait to get them.
Well they should both be out here this week but we generally get comics on thursdays not wednesdays so I'd try then if you're looking to pick up either.
Ew. I just read the last page (it wouldn't load before.)

Not too hot on how Emma got her secondary mutation, if they're gonna do what I think they're gonna do.
Good stuff.

But, damn me, I've been outta comics for the few years and some bits of the continuity are continuing to slip me up.

But, hey, if we're talking Spider-Man...you can ask me any question...

(And is it just me, or was Joss born to write everyone's favorite webslinger? He needs to do that. I'd pay him to do that.)

Reading the new issue right now. Heh... Joss has just sold me on this series for the next year with only three panels.

Lights...

Click...

Snikt.

Now that's a real Joss Whedon script.
I picked up both Astonishing and the Spotlight today. Astonishing is again well, ummmm... astonishing. There are some really wonderful Kitty/Peter moments. The last page didn't really do anything for me though. It doesn't really have that must-read-next-issue-now cliffhanger that most of the other issues have had. Maybe Joss didn't want to make the two month wait for the next issue so excruciating?

The Spotlight interview is great. Although there are some printing problems with it. There's a paragraph towards the end where all the F's and T's didn't print, so you have to sorta fill in the blanks to figure out exactly what the heck Joss was saying.

Joss reveals exactly how he was going to use Vision in the DANGER arc. He also runs through which other Marvel characters he might be interested in writing (including Spidey). Oh and in the profile before the interview, Whedonesque is plugged as Joss's official website.
If Joss mentions that he's interested in Spidey, I need to go buy the Marvel Spotlight...right...NOW.

I would DIE for a Joss take on Spidey. As great as all these X-Men peeps are, nobody touches Spidey in this great big comic book-lovin' heart o' mine.
