Rest In Peace, Chocky. Everyone give out the comforting thoughts to our fellow Browncoats in Australia, mourning the loss of one of their own. Says the lead-off post on Serenity Oz: "Our dear friend Chocolate died early this morning at St Vincents Hospital."

My whole family sends their condolences to all the browncoats in Oz, as well as to Chocolate's family. From the warm memories of Chocolate shared on Serenity Oz, it's plain to see he was a wonderful, kind person, and will be greatly missed.
Very moving post and comments. RIP.
Thank you so much for linking this, I dearly wanted to, but...I dunno, I'm just so crumpled up inside. We all loved him so dearly, he was a great friend, and I can honestly say, the man completely changed my life. I've hardly been able to stop the tears since I found out yesterday morning.
I was going to see him yesterday with Mims, I just wish I'd given him one last hug. Anyways, this is one Browncoat who will be remebered.
There's no doubt he knew how you felt about him, Nixy, and he felt your hug (and might still feel it now); I believe it's like that between friends and family who care about one another.
Sorry for your loss Aussie Browncoats. Sounds like a decent bloke and even tho' I didn't know him from Adam, like the fella said 'any man's death diminishes me, for I am involved in mankind'.

Bear in mind tho', no-one who's remembered is ever completely gone.
Yes, I know he knew how I felt, how all of us felt.
He'd be terribly embarrassed by all this attention. I'm going to miss him, we all will. We're a very close community, we often spoke about how much we all love one another, and how we've become a family. In a lot of ways Chocky was our patriarch.
I'm so glad he got to meet Joss.

Joss thank you for helping make his last year, what he described to me, as being one of his best.
Rest easy, browncoat. :(
Deepest and heartfelt condolences.
Incredibly sorry to hear about this. While I didn't know him, it is clear that he touched many lives. He will be missed.
When you can't run you crawl, and when you can't crawl...when you can't do that...
You find someone to carry you.

Wish I'd still been in Australia to meet Chocky. All comforts to all those close to him in the OzBrowncoats community, keep the memories close to y'all.
Its just so very obvious how much he touched the lives of so many of you, and how much you all loved him.

So Rest In Peace.
He was a hell of a man. We'll miss him for sure.
Although I left my condolences on the other thread on which this was mentioned, I wanted to add them here as well. My thoughts are with everyone there in OZ, whether friends or family.
I didn't know him, but God rest his soul. He sounded so wonderful...
Ya know, he really was.
To everyone who has been affected by this loss, please accept my sincere condolence. I cannot know how you are feeling but I hope you find comfort and strength from each other and the knowledge that your friend was much loved.
My thoughts towards Chocolate's family. He was a good man and he will be missed.
My sincere condolences to all of you who knew him.
This is so very sad, I just cried, and I didn't know him. It's awful when bad things happen to good people. Everyone posting pictures and quotes and supporting each other is very beautiful... and makes me feel special to be involved in a "fandom" that is so loving.
Like Saje said. My condolences to Chocolate's family and all the Aussie Browncoats, who are cool folks.

I echo what others said, though words hardly do justice in a situation like this. I did not know this person, but in reading what has been said, it's obvious a whole lot of people cared about him very much. My condolences to everyone who knew him.
I'm rubbish at saying anything about these things (never take me to funerals - it's like setting Chandler loose on everybody). So, uhm, sorry to all those who knew the man.
Sad, sad, sad...deep condolences to all his family and friends. Nice that he did get to meet Joss...sounds like it was lucky for Joss, too, that he got to meet Chocky.

God bless.
Thank you everyone. A copy of this thread, and the one at SOz will be given to his family this week.
