Gina Torres joins Fox's hostage negotiator drama Primary. Also, Kevin Pollack has joined the cast of Alan Tudyk's CBS drama.

Pollack & Tudyk? Oh dear God in heaven.

Pollack doing Shatner: Helmsman! Plot a course to Ribula One!
Tudyk doing Lewis: Ribs, Dean? You said we're gonna have ribs?
Pollack doing Shatner: [dramatic pose] What?
Tudyk doing Lewis: I'm gonna need a bib cuz I get the sauce all over my suit and I just got it steeeeam cleeeeeaned!
Pollack doing Shatner: Not ribs! Ribula! The planet!
Tudyk doing Lewis: There's a planet made of barbeque ribs?
Pollack doing Shatner: Warp.. factor.. [pose] eight!
Tudyk doing Lewis: Okay Dean! You got it!
Pollack doing Shatner: Helmsman! My name is not... Dean!

[the ship flies in all directions, and everyone on the bridge leans dramatically left and then right in unison]

Tudyk doing Lewis: Lady! Wow! Woah! Whoo!
Pollack doing Shatner: Helmsman! [ultra-dramatic pose]
Tudyk doing Lewis: Lookit me! I'm flying! In SPACE! Laaaaaydeee!
Pollack doing Shatner: You're going.. to KILL us!
Tudyk doing Lewis: That's okay Dean cuz you're already dead.
Pollack doing Shatner: Mister Spock! Report!
Tudyk doing Whedon: Listen. FOOL. When you're turning you're blocking the light of EVERYTHING that's behind you. Is this gonna be a selfish moment for you, or you gonna work with the team?
Pollack doing Shatner: We come in peace! Shoot to kill shoot to kill shoot to kill Scotty give me full power!
Tudyk doing Connery: I am not an Englishman, sonny! I was never an Englishman! I don't ever want to be one. I am a Scotsman! I was a Scotsman and I will always be a Scotsman! So you can tell the queen to stick her knighthood right up her arse!
Pollack doing Shatner: I never said [passes a kidney stone] you were an Englishman!
Tudyk doing Lewis: Dean! There's nasty big metal things out there shooting stuff our way! What do I do what do I do?
Pollack doing Christopher Lloyd: Uhhhhhhhhh! Just do what I do!
Tudyk doing Lewis: What's that?
Pollack doing Christopher Lloyd: Uhhhhhhhhh! ...Gee, I dunno!

[ship blows up]
Off topic, Majandra Delfino and Jason Behr are in two new CBS shows, which makes Roswell fans happy. Or maybe just me. :p

"Listen. FOOL." Gets me snickering every time.

Guess I'll be watching more CBS in the future.
Fairuza Balf in a new cult-themed show called 'Orpheus'?

I think I'm already in love!
I'm so happy to see Gina Torres getting work. Too bad it's on the-network-that-shall-not-be-named. But, hey, it's a job.
I hope the show's a big ol' "24"-style hit. Or even a medium-sized "Bones"-type hit.
: )
Gina was also in today's episode of "The Shield." It will be rerun throughout the week.
Okay, so waitaminute... am I missing something? Gina and Alan together again? No one comments on this? I'm missing something... I can tell.

ETA: Okay, like I said... missing something. Like the totally obvious fact that these are two completely different shows, on two completely different networks. Nevermind, as you were.

Gina was on tonight's episode of The Shield indeed. Without pants, no less.

Great to see everyone getting work. I feel like the Firefly folk are getting more opportunities--or have gotten more opportunities--more quickly than any of the Buffy or Angel cast. Maybe that's the one benefit of being on a good show with a short run--you can be impressive without being typecast.
Gina being on Primary is another of our 6 degrees type connections since it's written by Craig Silverstein who wrote for The Inside

Craig also produced, and also wrote some of the best bits of that series. Tim described him on Buffistas as 'My find of the year' or some such.
I remember Tim mentioning at the expo that Craig Silverstein would be worth watching to see what he does next so I'm now interested in seeing Primary.
A bit off topic, but the linked article also mentions Tony Hale from Arrested Development is in Andy Richter's new show, produced by Conan O'Brien. Please, oh, please, let this series live! ;-)
Well I'd rather we got the new Arrested Development season on Showtime and that Tony Hale was in that, but if not then I'm all for him being in Andy Richter's new show :)
