Nathan goes Into The Black. He goes out drinking with Captain of fan-film production Into The Black, because he is awesome. Please note, no lawyers were killed in the production of this series. Uhm, yet.

Okay, so I wanted to call him Nate because this things remind me -- once again -- how, or indeed why, I like these people. I just want to go all Barney over posts like this.

It's things like this that make me wonder: are the folks in the Whedonverse nice because they've worked with Joss, or is it that Joss picks the best people to be around? Or is it both?

I mean, really. There are times I think I could just walk up to some of these folks (at a sanctioned event, not like running up to them on the street and scaring them, because that's just mean.) and they'd have nice things to say.

Wait, I know they do. At the first Serenity screening, I was a bit of a crying mess at the end of the movie. (Go figure) When I got to Sean and Morena, I apologized for my obviously-crying self. They both laughed and said Sean had been crying, too. Seriously, they didn't even get the "oh, damn, scary fan" look. They were gracious and seemed simply... nice.

You hear similar stories about the rest of the cast and crew. They're just good people. This is a great story.

I love my cap'n.

Just to note: he didn't go drinking with the creators (I'm a creator, and I sure as heck wasn't there). It was our Captain who met him, as Nathan is a friend of a friend. So yeah, the creators are actually pretty jealous. But we did touch the money he donated, so we did get some secondhand Nathan cooties.

Aurra is correct. Nathan is a friend of a friend, and I didn't even know he was coming until I met up with everyone.

He's a great guy, and much fun was had. As we kept saying throughout the evening - BEST ST. PADDY'S DAY EVER!

Zeppo, I think the "Done the Impossible" folks have had a table at cons -- I could totally see you guys doing the same (for information, maybe t-shirts, etc.)! :-) Great ItB website additions, BTW -- I had not seen the character photos before.

Nice find, gossi. This is just another example of how truly genuine and real Nathan is. He is truly deserving of all the success he has and so much more. I, for one, will support him by seeing whatever film projects he is involved in....meaning I will be seeing Slither later this month and also White Noise 2 and Waitress when they are released.

Interesting. The young sales guy at my office told me that he ran into Nathan in a bar on the weekend, as well as the guy who plays Lex Luthor on Smallville (which would be Michael Rosenbaum, though my head will explode if I found out he meant Braniac/James Marsters). He claims he got to party with them quite a bit.
