Nathan goes Into The Black. He goes out drinking with Captain of fan-film production Into The Black, because he is awesome. Please note, no lawyers were killed in the production of this series. Uhm, yet.

Okay, so I wanted to call him Nate because this things remind me -- once again -- how, or indeed why, I like these people. I just want to go all Barney over posts like this.

Thanks Gossi for the link.
And Thanks Nathan for helping in making us Browncoats feel like we are apart of something so incredibly special. I love my Captain!!!
Oh. My. God. Could the dude rock any harder than this? Nathan, I mean, not gossi. Okay, gossi, too.

Wicked AWESOME!!! :-D
It's things like this that make me wonder: are the folks in the Whedonverse nice because they've worked with Joss, or is it that Joss picks the best people to be around? Or is it both?

I mean, really. There are times I think I could just walk up to some of these folks (at a sanctioned event, not like running up to them on the street and scaring them, because that's just mean.) and they'd have nice things to say.

Wait, I know they do. At the first Serenity screening, I was a bit of a crying mess at the end of the movie. (Go figure) When I got to Sean and Morena, I apologized for my obviously-crying self. They both laughed and said Sean had been crying, too. Seriously, they didn't even get the "oh, damn, scary fan" look. They were gracious and seemed simply... nice.

You hear similar stories about the rest of the cast and crew. They're just good people. This is a great story.

I love my cap'n.
Just to note: he didn't go drinking with the creators (I'm a creator, and I sure as heck wasn't there). It was our Captain who met him, as Nathan is a friend of a friend. So yeah, the creators are actually pretty jealous. But we did touch the money he donated, so we did get some secondhand Nathan cooties.
Aurra is correct. Nathan is a friend of a friend, and I didn't even know he was coming until I met up with everyone.

He's a great guy, and much fun was had. As we kept saying throughout the evening - BEST ST. PADDY'S DAY EVER!
Well, I must confess to being a tad jealous. :)
I love my captain :-)
Will you be signing at the next convention, Zeppo? ;-)
So. F*cking. Cool.

I love that guy!
Cool! Isn't it about time somebody founded Fillionesque?
( Nathanesque?).
Natesque - where the fans get stalky! I'll run it.

Aurra - sorry for the misunderstanding, I obviously wasn't clear. I was also drunk whilst posting this topic last night. I was out drinking - not suited up this time - Ted mode.
billz - if, for some weird reason, any con wants to have me, I'd be more than happy to come, as, I'm sure would others involved in Into the Black.
Zeppo, I think the "Done the Impossible" folks have had a table at cons -- I could totally see you guys doing the same (for information, maybe t-shirts, etc.)! :-) Great ItB website additions, BTW -- I had not seen the character photos before.

I was also drunk whilst posting this topic last night.

gossi, don't you know better than to drink-n-post? It's as bad as drink-n-dial! ;-)
They have a link to us in ther comments now. It's like some weird kind of internet infinity black hole time loop... or something.

Nathan really does seem like the best guy ever. I honestly think there ought to be a fan convention set in a bar.
Nice find, gossi. This is just another example of how truly genuine and real Nathan is. He is truly deserving of all the success he has and so much more. I, for one, will support him by seeing whatever film projects he is involved in....meaning I will be seeing Slither later this month and also White Noise 2 and Waitress when they are released.
It's not been mentioned here yet I think, but White Noise 2 contains a shout out to Firefly/Serenity in it (using Nathan's character).

How do you know these things?
Uh, there was an interview with Nathan I've neglected to post here where he mentions it.
Interesting. The young sales guy at my office told me that he ran into Nathan in a bar on the weekend, as well as the guy who plays Lex Luthor on Smallville (which would be Michael Rosenbaum, though my head will explode if I found out he meant Braniac/James Marsters). He claims he got to party with them quite a bit.

I was begining to think you just knew everything. I was gonna ask you what color shoes I was wearing as a test but I guess now we don't have to. ;)
Nathan is definately a class act.

It constantly amazes me how nice he and the other whedonverse actors are.
He definetely is very cool.

Also, I cant wait for "Into the Black"
Despite the biological impossiblity, and the whole gender preference thing, I am nevertheless prepared to bear Nathan's child. 'Nuff said.

gossi / war_machine : There was a post a few weeks back of that interview
Oh... I am an idiot, ha ha ha ha haa.

war_machine: pink?
Not an idiot, gossi - its all that drinking, catching up to you ;))
AlanD - your friend must've been at the same place! And yes, it was Michael Rosenbaum, not James, so don't worry!
AlanD - yeah, that was our merry band of miscreants that he ran into :)

Michael is a friend, and it's through him that I met Nathan.
God, Nathan is so AWESOME! *foams at mouth* Hee.
Cool. Another guy at my office says he saw Pierce Brosnan on the weekend at a downtown pub (watching rugby). Considering there's only seven people in total at my office, and I met Jewel last month, that's quite a spate of celebrity encounters.
And we Torontonians like to think that Toronto is the centre of Canada. I concede. It's Vancouver.
Nathan is the BEST. What a great captain we have.

Thank you, Lioness. We accept our designation quietly and with dignity ;-).
As I would expect, Samatwitch.
