19691: NASA in Colbert conundrum over Space Station.
This poll is getting more coverage than it deserves.
19694: Angel Star Andy Hallett Dies of Heart Failure.
Duplicate posting of this sad news, which is still on the front page
19688: 12 fake sci-fi Twitter feeds worth following.
No link and we had a very similar item last week, (the Xander Harris one).
Monday, March 30, 2009
19682: Dayne Johnson Posts That Andy Hallett Has Passed Away
It's completely unacceptable to post a link to someone's MySpace site with a statement saying that person had posted a bulletin about Andy's death. This is how very ugly Internet rumours are started.

Saturday, March 28, 2009
19669: Dollhouse Episode 7 "Echoes" is now available on Hulu.
Added to the review entry which already contained a link to the episode available to on Fox on Demand.
Friday, March 27, 2009
19661: Toy Story in 3-D returning to theaters this year
This news from January 2008 was posted at Whedonesque at the time.

19630: Joss Invited to Attend Vancouver Dollhouse Viewing Party.
Not quite front page news and also may break our no self-linking rule.
Tuesday, March 24, 2009
19628: Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof caught strolling by TMZ.
Not convinced of the need to link to pap sites.
Monday, March 23, 2009
19610: "Washington Field" Pilot Blowing Up Stuff in DC.
As stated before, coverage of actors in other shows is usually restricted to premieres, cancellations, interviews and guest spots. And not explosions.
19607: Boston Globe hosting a live chat with Jane Espenson tomorrow to discuss BATTLESTAR GALACTICA.
The trouble with posting news about a non-Joss chat so close to the date is that odds on it will get bumped off the front page by the time the chat actually takes place. So it would be better if this particular item was reposted a couple of hours before the chat takes place.
19600: Wonder Woman Animated DVD debuts at #5 on DVD chart.
There's gotta be at least a smidgen of Whedon-related content in the linked piece to rate a front-page entry . . .

19599: Save The Spike statuette!
This is a little thin for the front-page, but would be fine to post in our flickr group or on whedonesque.org in the Fan Campaigns threads.
Oh, and what Simon said - that'll teach me to read the Deleted Posts blog first. :-)
19598: Save Spike statuette!
One we really don't links to online petitions, two there doesn't seem to be any indication that the Spike statue will get cancelled.
19595: SCI FI To Air Serenity Thursday, May 14th At 9PM Eastern
Not really front news as SciFi Channel have aired Serenity already and news about this next showing would really be better off posted on the day.
19594: Wedding variant on ebay.
There was a very similar item posted back in January and to be honest this new item is not going to generate much in terms of new discussion.

19573: Family Guy's Stewie Guests on Another Series and you'll never guess which one...
See previous entry.
19571: Hottest Vamps not in Twilight - where are vamps from the Whedonverse?
It's a bit light in terms of reference to deserve a link on the front page.
19569: A Bones Crossover Coming In May.
Not quite Whedonverse related as it indirectly deal with David Boreanaz. If it had quotes from David then it would have been fine.
19566: Jane Espenson's New Series Not Airing On SCI FI...But On Syfy.
Jane is no longer attached to Warehouse 13.
Thursday, March 19, 2009
19554: James Gunn confirms Alan Tudyk to star with Belladonna in next PG PORN entitled "HIGH POON" (semi-NSFW)
19553: Whedon Clears the Air: Dollhouse Isn't a "Funny" House.
Same material and quotes that came from yesterday's LA Times coverage of Joss' conference call.

19552: Whedon's natural home?
As said in a previous entry, this one is a bit thin for a front page entry.

19545: A name Whedon fans can get behind
We're having a very busy day on the front page and this is a bit light for an entry.
19543: Joss to speak at Harvard, and will receive a Humanist lifetime achievement award.
This news has already been posted.
19539: Alyson Hannigan on St. Patrick's Day.
We had a Alyson Hannigan/St Patricks's Day story posted yesterday.
Tuesday, March 17, 2009
19519: Castle's second episode draws similar numbers.
What SNT said two posts below applies to the ratings for a non-Joss show as well.
19512: Vote for Charisma Carpenter - NSFW
Not safe for Whedonesque, frankly. The occasional bit of glamor is nice, but this crosses over into, as one commenter put it, ewww-territory - and adds nothing to stuff we've seen here before.
19516: Discuss Nathan Fillion's Castle ep 2 "Nanny McDead"
Last week's premiere was a nice one-off, but we're not going to do discussions of every episode for non-Joss shows - otherwise, we'd be doing Bones, HIMYM, etc. and etc. Feel free to discuss on whedonesque.org. Cheers.
19513: Vote Whedon!
News about the final round of this poll was posted back on the 9th.

19489: iFanboy reviews the new Wonder Woman animated feature.
The Nathan mention is a bit light on its so the link was merged with the preceding Nathan item.
Friday, March 13, 2009
19477: Big Damn Quote on IMDB's frontpage.
The trouble with linking to the front page of IMDB is that the content changes daily and Whedonesque is all about the permanent link. So as nice as it is to see the quote unfortunately it can't stay.
Thursday, March 12, 2009
19457: Seth Green has joined Twitter.
It's actually his official site and not the actor himself so not quite front page news.
Wednesday, March 11, 2009
Colbert tries to fight back against the node 3 naming.
This has been discussed in the past and we don't really need a blow by blow of every time Colbert mentions it.
Tuesday, March 10, 2009
19438: The colored cover for Angel #23.
The b/w version was posted a week ago and it's unlikely that any new discussion will arise as a result.
19436: Amber Benson guest stars on this week's episode of "Private Practice".
There would be more point posting this on the day so people actually talk about her appearance.
19434: Vote for Mal!
If there was only half an hour to go, there wasn't much point in posting the poll.
19433: In The Blood - Why Do Vampires Still Thrill?
We've been getting a bit off topic with the vampire stuff of late and this entry was a bit thin in terms of Whedonverse relevance.
The Wonderful Maladys
Simon has deleted this a couple of times as have I - scroll back for the reason.
19424: BtVS Worst Theme Song Ever?!
See March 6 for reason why this was deleted before, and is being deleted again.
Monday, March 9, 2009
19414: Live chat with Jane Espenson at AfterEllen.com.
This would be more relevant if it were posted on the actual day.
19411: MSN article about Castle.
Four Castle articles on the front page is a bit too much so this was added to the AV Club entry.
19409: Sarah Michelle Gellar's HBO Pilot Goes Forward.
Non Whedonverse casting news is not really front page news.
Sunday, March 8, 2009
On the Dollhouse dilemma and Joss Whedon's body of work.
Posted earlier and still on the front page in fact!
Saturday, March 7, 2009
19378: Huffington Post Takes A Shot At Nathan Fillion
There's already been a thread about Nathan's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, no real need for another. And this particular article is a typical "we need the hits" blog post i.e. a waste of space.
Friday, March 6, 2009
19375: Buffy the Worst Theme Song EVER?!?
Stringing 10 YouTube videos together does not make an article.
19368: Nathan Fillion on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
This would be better off posted in the Jimmy Kimmel thread from the day before.
19363: Dollhouse is Homeless?
While a YouTube Fox promo about T:SCC, Fringe, and the return of Prison Break could be interpreted as saying something about Dollhouse, it's very very thin information to base a story upon. Let's wait for something a little more solid

19337: Mobilize against the Colbert Nation!
"This link was posted a couple of weeks ago," so really no need to post it again.
19336: NASA Needs Help Naming Space Node 3
Possibly the 4th or 5th time this has been deleted - it was originally posted on February 19.
Later episodes of Dollhouse key to survival?
Light for the front page and really how long can our TV By the Numbers Circular Lovesfest continue?
Amy Acker to Star in the Two-Hour ABC Pilot "Happy Town".
I've already posted a link that gave more information than this one on this subject.

Monday, March 2, 2009
19313: The Guardian's Jonathan Bernstein wonders whether Dollhouse's premise is too much.
Posted yesterday. It's not even scrolled off the frontpage yet. Please check before posting.
Sunday, March 1, 2009
19297: Review of "Dollhouse: Stage Fright" in iF Magazine.
Added to a Dollhouse piece on the front page (to save space).
