Introduced to the Jossverse in 1999 with Season 4 of Buffy. Initial judgment of the show: a few notches smarter than Lois & Clark; that Spike guy's pretty cool. Then came Hush, which knocked me into the next room. Wow! Is EVERY episode this perfect?

I kept watching after that, waiting for something as good as Hush. The Body came close. Then I started catching up on the earlier seasons and realized that I had missed the show in its prime. Passion -- surely Ty King is a pseudonym for Joss Whedon (that or else Joss did a heavy uncredited rewrite) -- had me jumping up and down at its audacity and brilliance. The last five minutes of The Gift: devastating. Once More With Feeling: the finest 50-odd minutes of scripted TV ever.
