I find myself in the precarious position of loving the characters and universe of BtVS and AtS while also being painfully aware of their flaws. My relationship to them is contradictory and tumultuous. (Oftentimes I smile, on occasion I grit my teeth.) I have resorted to writing very long Buffy fanfic novels in order to understand it.
